Quinn Architects were one of a panel of five Architectural Practices invited by Carebright to interview for the design of an innovative Residential Development for people living with Dementia.  We were awarded the commission on the basis of our experience and knowledge in the field of design for Dementia. Practice Director, John Quinn, has attended two specialist Design Schools specifically for designing for Dementia organised by the University of Stirling.

This project seeks to build on the experience of Hogewey in Weesp  in The Netherlands which is notable because it has been designed specifically as a pioneering care facility for elderly people with Dementia.  The proposed development for Carebright will be located in Bruff, Co. Limerick and consist of three 6 person houses and a Community Hub/Daycare building set within a carefully landscaped 3 acre site.
