Project Description
A review of existing facilities undertaken by Milford Care Centre identified an issue with their 2 & 4 bedded wards in respect of ‘end of life’. With the support of the Little Company of Mary, the Centre commissioned a Family Care Unit – a specially designed suite of accommodation to cater for the dying and their family. The Unit is adjacent to the existing Nursing Home and provides residents who normally resided in a shared ward with a private place at a very intimate time on their life journey.
