The Maintenance Building at Carrigoran Nursing Home was designed as a standalone facility to support the organisation’s growing storage and maintenance needs across the buildings and extensive grounds of the estate. Its form takes inspiration from the simple, vernacular farmyard buildings appropriate to the setting, while presenting a more formal elevational treatment with low-maintenance materials and a symmetrical design.
