Project Description
As part of the overall Masterplan for the refurbishment and development of Heuston Station, Irish Rail invited Quinn Architects to tender for the provision of Design Team Services for the replacement of the Train Hall roof at the station.
Quinn Architects was appointed as architects and lead consultants with Buro Happold and John Cuddy & Partners for this complex and prestigious project. A major challenge in delivering the project was the requirement to allow the Station to operate safely throughout the building works.
The completed project has helped transform the appearance of the Station and greatly enhanced the travel experience through this, the largest and busiest national railway station in the country.
