The new entrance to this historic educational institution in Limerick City Centre seeks to present a restrained elegance next to the formal elevation of the original Foundation Building. The colonade connects outside to inside with granite stone flags running from the exterior through to the impressive foyer space. The old Halla is clad in red granite which contrasts with the Portland stone on the colonade itself. Careful lighting design ensures that the entrnace presents a warm welcome on a winters evening.
