Project Description
This project delivered approximately 1,500 sq.m. of additional incubator office accommodation in a four-storey extension, facilitating rapid scaling for start-ups and other innovation-driven enterprises, on a very constrained 8-metre-wide site between the existing two-storey GTC building and the adjacent property.
The new extension is interconnected with the existing building, which remained a live working environment for the duration of the works. The works also included the relocation of an ESB substation from within the existing building to facilitate construction.
In addition to the new extension, Quinn Architects also carried out a fit-out of one of the units in the existing building to create a co-working space called ‘The Cube’. The new extension rises above the existing GTC building, presenting a new and modern face to the centre.
