The Daycare Centre at Carrigoran House, Newmarket-On-Fergus, Co. Clare provides a destination and service to people living in the Newmarket-on-Fergus and Shannon Town districts and associated hinterlands. The Centre is designed to cater for varying needs and provides separate spaces for the dependent and more independent. The site adjoins the walled garden at Carrigoran which is available to the Centre’s guests for walking and exploring. The new building has a private enclosed walled garden with wishing well, bird tables, greenhouse and a variety of plants.
The accommodation is arranged around a large open space with a sprung timber dance floor and a water feature where visitors can sit, relax and talk over refreshments served at the Café Bar. Other circulation provides walking space and exhibition walls. There are dedicated Lounge & Dining Area, Activity Rooms, Conservatory and Oratory. The concept driving the design layout is one of openness and social interaction where users are encouraged to engage with one another, staff and visitors – to be a centre of life and living.
