‘OpenHouse’ is a simple but powerful concept: showcasing outstanding architecture for all to experience, completely free of charge! OpenHouse initiatives invite everyone to explore and understand the value of a well-designed built environment. Limerick joins a worldwide family of OpenHouse locations including London, New York, Helsinki, Melbourne, Slovenia and Irish locations Dublin and Galway. The Limerick event includes a diverse range of buildings in both the City and County.
Quinn Architects is delighted to support this initiative again this year and will be hosting a tour of recently completed projects at Mary Immaculate College. The tour will commence at 12:30pm on Saturday 19th October and will take in the Foundation Building, the New Main Entrance, the Staff Lounge and the Quad. Later in the afternoon, at 4pm, we will also conduct a tour of Summerville Lodge, which underwent a full refurbishment in 2012.
